Anahata "Heart" Chakra

The heart chakra, or Anahata, meaning "unstruck" is represented by the color green and the element air. It is located at the heart's center of the body. It is symbolized by the star Yantra, which is composed of two overlapping triangles pointing in opposite directions, like so:
The anahata chakra is associated with love, compassion, emotions and healing. When blocked or unbalanced, one will feel grief, dispair, sadness, jealousy and uncompassionate. When open and balanced, one will be able to give and receive love, feel compassion and wholeness as well as be hopeful, sharing and inspired. Some foods that will help open and balance the heart chakra are leafy and air grown vegetables, green tea and green spices such as basil and sage. A position to open your Anahata is the camel pose, like so:
